Why was the Virginia Tech killer not considered a terrorist even though he killed 32 students?

the young man was'nt considered a terrorist, why is it cause he wasnt from a muslim country or a muslim society. or was he a gang memeber or something of the sort.
Because he had a gun. and, the NRA runs the USA. According to our Lords, the chair people of the NRA... NO TERRORISTIC ATTACK INVOLVES GUNS.
He wasn't doing it for political gain.
It is somebody using violence for political purposes: somebody who uses violence, especially bombing, kidnapping, and assassination, to intimidate others, often for political purposes
Because he wasnt a Muslim.

In the media, only Muslims are 'terrorists', just like how black people who smoke crack are called 'crakheads', while white people are called 'meth addicts'--to make it sound all medical when its the same damn thing as crack.
An act, to be considered terrorism, requires two things:

a) An ideological motive (done for a political ideology, a religion, etc.).

b) An organization which supports the perpetrator.

Neither was true in the case of Seung Hui Cho.
his name is
Cho Sung Hi
Either were the hand ful of illegal aliens who committed mass murder on 9/11.

btw, approx 13 American die EVERY DAY at the hands of illegal aliens. If u through in the 25 Americans who are also killed EVERY DAY at the hands of drunk driving illegal aliens - that's over 13,000 Americans who die EVERY YEAR by the illegals, murders, rapist, terrorist cells, who cross our So. Border by the 1000's every singled day.

Now, who does the Democrats & Repulicans say is the biggest threat to Americans?
Terrorism refers to organized crime between heterogenous parties that has a political agenda behind it. Seung killed for personal reasons and he killed individually.
I heard several newscasters and private citizens refer to the killer as a terrorist. He was a mentally unbalanced person who was the proverbial loner. No one will ever know exactly what prompted him to kill all of those innocent students. Having worked in mental health for more than 30 years, I can tell you, if we could predict which patient was a potential threat, we would do it. It's not always easy to point to someone and say-'He or she is going to kill someday'. I wish to God it were.

Answer:
I believe he was a terrorist. His goal was to create terror, as his manifesto stated. In the US though we have used the term 'Mass Murderer' for this type for so long and terrorist hasn't been used in the US until recently.
Typically, terrorists carry out attacks for politcal reasons. The VT shooter didn't commit his crimes to achieve a politcal goal.

However, depending on your defintion of terrorism, the VT shooter could possibl be classified as a terrorist. Other forms of terrorism include: economic, and medical, butthose are more complex.
Because he was mentally ill.
