How come drunk drivers being ticketed today and paying the high fines, cam have the impertinence to keep on doing it anyway? What can make them stop it once and for all?!

HEY not all FIRST offenders are REPEAT offender! Those that haven't learned from their crime aren't ready to deal beside their problems yet. Just maybe they haven't faced the TRUTH that they hold a drinking problem. Maybe they haven't realized that they could be the ONE to kill themselves or other Innocent people. It's really complex to Point the FINGER at why people do Drink and DRIVE. Why aren't BARS held more accountable for over serving drunk customers? It's about the CASH Flow! Heaven forbid if you name a cab for someone leaving your BAR knowing they have spent a nouns of cash in your establishment! It really does come DOWN to planning ahead. (THINK before you DRINK) IF you know you are going to DRINK enjoy a ride to come pick you up OR call a cab before you depart from to pick you up when the bar closes. YES, it's really that SIMPLE. The mistake that is made is NOT making those arrangements before going out. FOR some sense once a PERSON is drunk they don't want to leave their automobile in the parking lot. Once you are drunk you aren't going to be making the RIGHT decisions. That lead to DUI's! Who really has the Answers?
Heavy jailtime. Alot of these clowns dont verbs about the money, they pay the fine. They dont even care if they go and get their license suspended they keep driving anyways. Start making them do some serious PRISON time. Not a few weekends in the county jail-im talking give or take a few a actual hardcore prison. That will get them.
Your request for information exposes your lack of understanding of the problems of substance abuse. Persons who are addicts/alcoholics do not regard as as you and I do. The drug is the focus of their lives. Consequences are not seen as relating to their actions. Solutions are not simple. Certainly, punishment alone has proven to be ineffective. Substance abusers start varying when they see the need to change. Another arrest, another conviction, another punishment is unlikely, by itself, to make a difference.
