Have you really given it any thought?

At what price of gas will you say to yourself, 'Enough is enough. I am going to do something about this.' Really? What is your cap price?
Yes, I have given it thought. I have to work and in order to work I must drive. And since I need gas to drive, I buy it no matter what the cost.
Next question would be, what are you going to do about it once you get to that point. I have started carpooling and doing all of my errands on one day instead of going back and forth, back and forth

Cheers and have a nice day!
I'll move closer to work where all I need to use my car for is to go to the grocery store or shopping - LOL.

But I will start doing this at maybe over $4.00/gal for 89 octane.
I am an American living in Germany, and gas here is the equivalent of over 7 dollars a gallon, and they all drive like maniacs, albeit it small, more fuel efficient cars :-)

Answer:
I'll let you know when it's reached
it won't stop climbing, overall, because of inflation rates and the fact that crude oil is a limited resource. the earth has already passed peak production. so we should accept the age of cheap oil as beginning to come to an end, embrace alternative fuels, different modes of transportation like fixing our railroads, and better designed communities catered to people instead of automobiles.
It's actually kind-of a good thing. It will get people off the roads and reduce car emmisions, but it goes to CEO's and they shouldn't get the prophit.
