Feel bullied by boss due to pregnancy?
I live in SC which is a "will to work" state meaning that I can be fired for anything at anytime and my employer does not have to detail me. I have only been at my company for a month and it is a small familial owned logistics business. Recently I found out that I was expecting, along with another woman in our organization. We are due at relatively the same time (within two weeks). Our boss was overjoyed when she told her and has gabbed non-stop roughly speaking the baby. Due to the fact that only 6 of us work surrounded by the office and two of us are pregnant, I decided to let her know previously than I usually would so that she would be able to be prepared; especially with two of us out at the same time. She be NOT happy with me and looked completely pissed. She said "I am not sure what to say here. Congrats, I guess?" shrugging her shoulders and consequently dismissed me immediately. She has since then unseen me completely, not even making eye contact the rest of the week. She has never been a nice woman but I feel almost demeaned by her attitude and moved out work crying today because I feel that she is trying to force me to quit. I can't afford to lose my job regardless of how I feel. I inevitability to know how to safe guard myself? If she lets me go is here a way to prove that I was fired for the wrong reasons? I haven't be there long enough to qualify for FMLA and I am almost certain she will be letting me run soon. Thanks for the advice! Out 2 lunch - first of all I am married and it is my right to be able to expand my loved ones. My job should have no bearing on whether or not I can do that. People resembling you are the problem!

I assume that the other person has been in that longer or has a higher postition in the company. You are correct that you will most imagined be let go, the reason self that she will most likely not want to give you maternity confer on and if she gives the other employee maternity leave your job you have action against her. You need to find the member of staff manual listing policies and see what it says. If the company lacks one, next you will be more able to sue at the point that maternity considerations differ. I understand where on earth you are coming from, but employers who are in small business can't generally afford to volunteer great compensation packages such as maternity and the employees who work for years for the company earn those benefits through service. She is now within a bad position and isn't happy about it. I am sorry you are going through this, it is your right to hold children and to not be discriminated against for it, but still it is never a good idea to get pregnant inwardly the first 90 days to 1 year. I would go above and beyond to show her that you are committed to your job and see where it go. Right now you need to be 100% certain that within is no good reason for you to be fired. Document any derogatory remarks about your condition and any entity she says about it for that matter as businesses can't ask in the order of the health of employees, the employee can just offer information. Do your best and take notes of everything, if you wish to sue then you will need them. One item on your side is she probably doesn't have righteous personelle files and has probably made off remarks to someone else, just hope they be emails. Best of luck to you, but it is hard and expensive to sue for wrongful termination, especially in this economy, but if you do want to sue if you capture terminated then go for it.
