Is This Online Harassment?

There is this friend of mine on a forum. He was good friends with someone for a while, but the personality he was friends with is kind of a nutjob tothe point where on earth they would want attention so much that the other person started another account so people would bestow him that. Unfortunately, my friend picked up on it and, while he didn't say anything publicly, the person figured it out.Since later, the moderators figured it out, banned both their accounts,and, now, this individual is doing everything to blame and privately spread rumors around about my friend and, as of last week, went on the forum and started thread after thread for over an hour trying to verbs the person with every insult possible.

My question is... is this online irritation? They're obsessed now w/my friend. What can one do? The issue is that the person who is doing the harassing is surrounded by another country, while my friend is inOhio. So I'm wondering what laws apply internationally,etc.?Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Sounds like unconditional harrassment to me but from another country omg no idea what to do sorry! This is not a legal problem. This is high arts school.....check out another forum for you and your friends.

That's why I just stay here on Yahoo Answers. I hold heard this story before------no thanx.....no online communicating for me.

Perhaps your friend should speak to the moderators, or if they are causing real impair to your friend, such as psychological or business slander related issues, seek advice from attorney.
Yeah, sounds similiar..........to something I went thru. Right presently, on some web site, that >>I<< was KICKED off of, for trying to DEFEND myself from these trolls, they are STILL, to this hours of daylight, spreading lies and false information about me.

They are losers who do this for their own sick thrills.

Don't give them a second thought. Find another site and be cool. Looks like they get your number on that one, and these sorts never quit.

So what country is all this "harassment" coming from? I have noticed that alot of trollism seem to emmanate out of Florida.........must be old geezers with too much time on their hands.......surrounded by some retirement home somewhere..........pretending to be 13 again, or Vietnam Vets heroes or something. Yeah...in their dreams. They have no shame or honor. They don't know the designation of the words.
