I want to know what you think?
With everything going on with the upcoming elections laws like stem cell reserch and prayer in schools how do you feal about issues that go on in todays world and how has history taught you about how what hapend then effects now?
History has taught us that government is hungry for power. The more you give government the more it takes. Look at the income tax (originally unconstitutional), welfare, social security and government spending in general. If you let the federal government fund stem cell research you are inviting another huge government bureaucracy to the party. The federal government is very inefficient, private company's ie research and pharmaceuticals could do a much better job. The more the feds get their hands into the private sector the more freedoms we will lose and the more it will cost us. History's biggest lesson when it comes to the federal government...give it an inch and it will take a mile.
I think the world, with it becoming more high tech and less value minded, is becoming a scary place and I'm sorry for my children.
