What happened to the California Law on banning cell phone use while driving?

Californians are still seen texting and talking on their cell phones while driving. Did incidence of accidents go down? Is the law still implemented?
Best Answer:
The law be enacted and people violated it. The law also have speed limits and people violate that law. Similarly, the ruling precluding murder is sometimes violated. Any other questions?
The tenet is on the books, but the police aren't enforcing it too much.
As with frequent laws in CA the cell phone is only selectively enforced by directive enforcement agencies. When the municipality needs the added revenue I'm sure their LEA's be be instructed to start handing out tickets. Reduce accidents? I seriously doubt it. Good luck to you
a police officer has to see it then they can cite them enjoy you witness a incident where an ofificer saw someone talkig on a handset? yu can still drive and talk on a HANDS FREE device
