Do they have the right..RE DONE! PLEASE HELP!?

Can my apartment manager ban a GUEST(when they havent done anything) after running a background check illegally( he didnt contribute his permission) and without a court order. I thought they had to travel to the court and get an order. I havent recieved one for my guest. Oh and my guest is not staying here. They re visiting a couple hours. Like other empire have friends come over. Thats what Im talking about. She disqualified him because he had a misdemeanor from when he was 14(now 18) But when she spoke to me about this since she said it was just felonies! My lease doesnt speak anything about anything like this. And there is no clause that deeply tells me to look somewhere else for other rules. My ex-step father use to work for fair housing. Its not illegal for a indiscriminate person to do it over the pc. But it is for a person doing it through in that business and for their business. Thats why they ask us for permission and a potential job ask for one too.

The guy above is 100% right. If however your apartment has public access (for instance the door is right on the sidewalk and he wouldn't enjoy to cross a common lobby, hall, or parking lot) then the tenant can't do anything. Your apartment is yours, but the common area is still hers to control. I'd try a reasonable approach. Call and address to her in a civil manner. Apologise for the things you said before just about how she was stupid, how ridiculous this is, and how you're going to sue her. Tell her you talked with your friend and you take why she may distrust him. Tell her you'll let her know when he's coming and going and that you'll take responsibility for whatever he does within.
First, investigating someone's background does not require their consent. Second, the manager can exclude any person from the adjectives areas, for no reason at all. Third, if you want to know if the landlord can pole a guest from your apartment (assuming one can reach your apartment without traversing any area not lease exclusively by you) read your lease.
