2005 tx criminal laws for ex-cons?
I'M IN SO.EAST TEXAS MY SON IN LOCKED UP AWAITING UPCOMING COURT DATE OF 3 CHARGES OF AGG, ROBBERY. HE IS AN EX-CON W/ 2 CONVICTION OF DRUGS. MY QUESTION IS IF VICTIM DOESN'T SHOW UP IN COURT CAN MY SON STILL BE CONVICTED
Yes! Texas does not play they convict you on everything and anything...it'll probably be best if you get your boy a lawyer and try to get him the least time for what he did....another thing that worked for me when my husband was convicted was lots and lots of prayer. Good luck!~
Absolutely can a conviction be achieved without the victim present. If he has a prior record there is a very slim chance he will be aquited, hire a good lawyer. This might sound disheartening but keep hope. I would start making plans to make life for my son better while behind bars for a while. Write letters ALOT nothing is better than remembering there is a whole beautiful world outside of those walls. Anything will do. Mail food, jokes, and news about the family. Good luck and God Bless.
Yes. Most definately. Though it would be best for the victim (if wanting retribution) if they do show up.
yes because he is a ex-con.you need an attorney.
yes he can. because he has been convicted of a felony before.and if he does not show up for court they will have a warrent out for him.
Yes he can...although he would probably stand a lesser penalty if the victim didn't show up. Hire a good lawyer.
