Need help getting a affordable attorney?
I live in dallas, texas and i need to find a attorney that i can afford to pay. I'm a mother who is trying to get her kids back (having a custody issue) and having trouble because its hard enough maintaining my house and trying to save for an attorney. Can someone help me? Ive called the Dallas Bar and i get people who i cant afford to pay. Can somone give me a number or point me in the right direction.
unfortunately, this place is only in southern california... but you might call local law schools and see if there's a place where 'young up and coming attorney's' volunteer time. If you are low income, check local social services, there may be a place where you can find an attorney on a sliding scale.
You need to call your local Legal Aid office.

I'm not familar with Texas, but I would try any local law school (Univ. of TX at Austin, Baylor, etc..). Most law schools have clinics who help people with financial difficulties. Contact one of the schools for assistance.
