Is this Perjury? ..... Pursuers are lying....?

I have been called as a witness for the defence and I know that the Pursuers are lying and that the Police statements are inconsistent with statements and dates and times and that incidents didnt even happen. Being a witness and knowing the truth people are telling me to shout Perjury as lies are being told. What would happen when Perjury is mentioned and what would happen to the Pursuers? This has been a Civil citation.
Just answer the questions you are asked and tell the truth. Perjury is telling lies under oath. It's not up to you to decide if this is the case, it's up to the judge.
Do you mean Prosecutors? Do not yell in court. You could be jailed. Answer all questions honestly and accurately when it is your turn to do so. If the other person is found to manipulating the truth, then they will probably lose the case of face jail time.
Since you aren't an officer of the court, you're not in a place to legally make a claim of perjury. This is how it would go in best case scenario: you tell your version of the story, which is completely inconsistent with the stories of the others. When the defense attorney asks why your story is inconsistent, you back it up with FACTS, not 'because the others are lying'. That crap may work on Law and Order, but not in real life. You state that you know what you saw, you identify other pieces of information to corroborate your story (like full descriptions of the day, clothing, other things going on) to lend credence to your story.

The judge or the defense attorney can make the charge of perjury, but only if there is sufficient evidence.

Your role is to answer the questions you are asked. What you know is what you saw or what was said to you directly. It is not for you to decide whether someone is lying that is for the Judge. If you shout out you may be foudn to be in comtempt of court for which you can be gaoled.
