How are Anti-i.n.c.e.s.t laws justified?
Assuming there were a serious risk of mutation or defect (despite recent scientific evidence to the contrary) then what if they are to use contraceptives? If 'its just gross' then why not simply not watch them have sex? But are invasive laws against personal and private behavior justified?
Are you sure there are laws against adult relatives having incest? I think you are misinformed.
go f888 your mother, now did that sound right to you?
Probably to protect children from parental molestation.
In Georgia, we used to have sodomy laws. The ignorant and uninformed protested that the laws were anti-homosexual. The legislative history of the laws shows that they were enacted to protect prisoners.
I would imagine that there is a similar justification for incest laws.
I believe it's for medical reasons if they were to have children, there would be a greater likelihood of genetic defects manifesting (two defective recessive genes would show up whereas otherwise normally dominant gene would overrule it). And everyone knows there's no way to force people to use contraceptives, otherwise... nevermind, I'll refrain from jokes. Plus it's not reliable
