A 10 month old baby in Illinois, USA, has just been granted a gun licence...Seriously!?

Do you think this is appropriate and responsible behaviour or is it obscene and sick?
I'd be worried if the kid didn't pass a criminal background check. Those rights guaranteed to us by the Bill of Rights don't have age restrictions...

There are no age restrictions here, they just do a background check.

Is it messed up? Sure. Does it matter? No. He's not going to be toting a gun around, so it's not THAT big of a deal. Maybe by the story making the news(which is a joke in and of itself) they will get the ages changed on the law.

But the question is, at what age do you make it legal to have a hunting license?

A lot of People do not realise that here in the UK you are allowed to own a gun, but it is hellishly difficult to get the license, I think the UK laws should be adopted in the usa
I think it's fantastic! We need to arm all our LEGAL CITIZENS and be prepared for what is coming. Today the illegals and gangs are planning and plotting to kill American Citizens on American Soil and they are succeeding via an increasing number of murders, rapes, robberies, etc. In Chicago 20 students have been murdered this school year. The latest was done by a 16 year old gang banger. You need to understand that these people don't give two hoots about the law and will get guns without registering them and will file off the serial numbers and do all kinds of things to try to ensure the guns are not traceable. They will get guns no matter what the law says because they aren't being punished.

If we were all armed and taught to use those guns, crime would drop and the illegal faction would realize that we aren't going to be such easy pickings and will go elsewhere. That's been proven time and time again.

I don't believe in violence. I don't think it solves much. However, I do believe in being prepared and understanding how to protect myself and my family. That's my responsibility and while I think the baby having a firearm's owner's card is odd, I think it's a classic example of how law-abiding people will do whatever it takes to comply with the law while criminals will do everything they can to circumvent the law. The illegal immigrants for example, have their anchor babies and use their children as shields from the law and to get money from the government while they work and get paid under the table.

This 10 month old certainly got everyone's attention, didn't he? Well, what will it take to get the law's total attention to all the potential terrorist illegal immigrant lawbreakers who are living, working, plotting, and lying, cheating and stealing in our country today? What about those illegals who have murdered, raped, robbed, plotted and are still roaming the streets free to continue their subversive, anti-American, war on the Citizens of the USA?
Just stupid, read the article. There is no age restriction on a gun license. And Illinois is a stupid state. The child would still have to be legal age to go purchase the shotgun. Illinois just requires you to have a gun license before you go buy 1. It is a $5 stamp and it is designed to make sure convicted felons or sex offenders do not gain access to firearms. The age is not in question.
