Feds decision on morning after pill?

How do you feel about the Feds decision to trade name the morning after pill available to 17 year olds?
Best Answer:
i have yet to meet a 17 year frail who should have a child soooo
This comes as no surprise to me... it won't be a stretch to make it available to 16 year olds soon any.
Good. Last thing we obligation are more unwed mothers looking for welfare. Not everyone is as lucky to be Sarah Palin's daughter.
they lowered the age by one year. not that big a deal.
I don't see what's wrong with that (btw, it was always available for lower than 17 year olds, but with a prescription, wasn't it?). I think it's ridiculous to make it tricky for teenagers to access, as they are the ones who need it more and who are going to find it more difficult to get to a doctor for a prescription. I think it should walk younger than 17. I live in Australia and it's available over the counter for everybody which I think is good. It can't be used for anything bar its purpose, so no black market issues, getting high etc. And I doubt it will make more culture fail to plan ahead and have unprotected sex with this contained by mind. Also, pharmcists can talk to the girls they are giving it to about risks of unprotected sex etc. Here in Australia we own a much lower teen pregnancy rate as well. I think it's about partially as common as it is in the USA.

This was not the "feds" decree. It was a COURT decision. The court determined that the decision by the FDA to NOT fashion it available to those under 18 over the counter was made based on politics, not science. The FDA should NOT be making decision based on politics and I applaud the court's decision.
