Does Google record Private Information in the United Kingdom?
I mean, do they record information entered within their search engine like in the United States?
In the U.S., they copy the IP address and everything you enter in the search engine. They don't delete anything, and they hope to sell the private information to the ultimate bidders in the future. It used to be illegal, allowing one and only the government to possess the information, but new laws allow them to collect and profit bad the data.
I was just wondering because we don't hold the same Privacy Laws as they do in Europe.
Thank you :-)
thats a accurate question
i would say as businesses are eager for latest ways to exploit any information they can lay their hands on
but i couldn't say to be sure
I reckon they do. You should see the cookies mount up when on Google, that can only be for one reason. I delete them, block them if I can.
They are interested in selling hype space and need to collect info. to do so, plus knowing who to direct ads to.
So do the others, suppose that's how they make the millions.
Not true. The info you type into Google is private, they will never sell it. Google get over 1 billion searches a day, they don't say that info next to your IP address. Can you imagine the space it would take to save adjectives of that... day after day?
The only time your info is save is when an outside entity, like the FBI, is tracking what you're doing; and even then they need a warrant to do so.
Google is never going to market any info to the highest bidder. For one, Google has more money than god, and they aren't evil... which they would have to be to vend that kind of info.
Who knows what happens to the cookies you obtain from clicking on links and such, but Google would be cutting off it's own nose to spite it's obverse by selling that info.
