A car in front of me suddenly stopped and i hit the back of the car and the bumper has a crack what do i do?
while i was driving the car on front of me suddenly stopped I didnt have enough time to react so I hit the back. Her was alright the bumper had a dent but I told her I would pay for it. she says no so I wait for her to call the cops but she doesnt she calls her family and when they get there thier mad and want to fight so i leave and now she wants to clam a hit & run. I dont know what to do she went to the cops and made a hit&run report and now shes also sueing me! what can i do to reslove this I tried to do the right thing and now all she wants is for me to go dowm for this. Can someone please help me with this cause I really dont know what to do.
You need to explain the circumstances to the police. If you have witnesses to any of this that would be helpful. It's easy to see what you should have done; left the scene, found a safe place to go, and then callled the police yourself. However it's too late for that.
I woul also explain everything to your insurance company and let them handle the settlement side of things.
nothing you really can do...it's your word against hers....try to find any witnesses that may have seen it happen...it is technically your fault as far as the accident goes, the cops/insurance companies will assume that you were too close to her...

Get and attorney and make arrangements to turn yourself in. You may call the police first and an attorney may not be necessary. But if you have legal insurance or something, use it.
Explain the situation to the police about her intimidating relatives.
Then make sure you have all of your insurance information with you for the police to give to her. I wouldn't try to contact that person directly if I were you.

First and foremost call your insurance company and report the accident. Next go to the police station yourself and report the accident and your reason for leaving.
Well, you did commit a hit and run by the definition of the crime. You are also responsible for the damages to her car since you rear-ended her. Offer to pay for her damages if she drops the hit and run charges and doesn't take you to court. You should ALWAYS call the police right away. Take that as a future lesson.
If they are suing you get a lawyer.
If you haven't been to the cops to take care of the hit and run...do so.
I doubt you'll be charged if what you've told here is true. You left because you feared for your safety. However if you didn't report the accident and the situation after you made it to safety you could still be in trouble for failure to report an accident.
