NEED LEGAL HELP! BEST ANSWER WILL BE CHOSEN?
On Friday, My fiancee' called her boss and asked him to fax her a pay-stub for the week of sept. 19th to prove to the police that she was in the State Of Arkansas at that time. He refuse to release the paystub, and since we where in a different state at the time, we couldn't get it ourselves. IS THERE ANY LAW THAT STATES THAT THE BOSS MUST RELEASE THIS INFORMATION ON THE EMPLOYEES REQUEST? If you enjoy ANY information, please give it to us, or anything that we can print out stating that the boss did anything illegal.

It does not appear that the boss did anything illegal but apparently there was some mix up so far as your fiancee be concerned. The fiancee should have had her pay stub contained by her possession somewhere. Anyone could call over the phone asking for information which, if given, would put the boss in hot water. The authority is " He said. She said."
What's unofficial about refusing to release personal information? Probable if he had recieved a signed, notarized request surrounded by writing he might have chosen to send it.
Unless the reimburse stub lists the exact times worked, it doesn't prove a thing. Yeah, it can say the personage worked 40 hours that week, but it's not going to say which 40 hours. As for not faxing it, the employer has to have it within writing to cover their hind ends. It's all about privacy.
He is required to provide you with that information, but he doesn't own to do it via fax if he doesn't want to. United States Postal Service will suffice. Being a jerk, unfortunately, isn't illegal.
There is no law that forces an employer to release a remuneration stub to an employee. There isn't even a law that requires an employer to even have a repay stub. If it is a legal court matter, the judge can issue a summons or subpoena for this document, if it exists, and if the mediator feels it is needed. The statement, "I was in Arkansas at the time, and I can prove it if it go to trial," would probably be sufficient.
i think you can hold the boss subpeoned for the info
http://www.google.com/ wish i could furnish a better answer but google works fairly well if you spend 10-20 mins searchin.
Why can't the police get that info? Just tell them that the boss has the proof that she be there and they will get it for you.
Yes there is. It is a Subpoena duces tecum. It take time. It requires that the, in this case your boss, appear with the collection, or send certified copies of the documents requested. Problem here is that He is in another state, and is not under the jurisdiction of the state.
