Should I fight this case or not?

I was leaving my neighborhood carwash place and a truck came out speeding and almost run into me at the parking lot. He then peeled out and pretended to run me over, I backed up and tried to carry out of his way and he peeled out and i thought he sidswiped my front bumper so I followed him to get his plates and ring in a hit and run. Then the guy slams on his brakes at a red light and I ran into his bumper. I get a ticket for failure to controls speed but 3 cops say I should fight it since within was, "extenuating circumstances" that led to his senseless act.
you have no evidence... your word against his... if he did a hit and run you should enjoy called the police ... you hit him and although it's wrong you will be the one paying... haha that really sucks. I would fight it to I guess but you should have be paying attention. If you were close enough to already enjoy gotten his plates which i assume you were since you ran into him you should have freshly backed off after you got his plates.
Stupid move...but I would fight it! Yes, I would fight it. It's worth a try.
I once was sucessful in sueing an elderly woman who caused me too run into the back of her car. She be attempting too enter a driveway at a market but first swung her car way out into the center lane of a three lane street too catch a better angle at the narrow driveway. She had pulled away from a signal and proceded forward at about 5 MPH up to that time doing this. The difference is that I was not sited for a violation at the seen and received no ticket. I concluded up winning the lawsuit but only because the lady admit that she had swung into the center lane. I would think that if you were cited for a traffic defiance that the judge will have no choice but too find you at fault. I asume that you enjoy insurence and if I were you I would just turn it over too them and they may decied too fight it and you will not own the expence. I would certainly expalin it too the insurance company so that they can make the choice. I think that their ruling is going too be that if you got a ticket then it was your condemn and will pay in order too avoid an expensive court warfare that they will feel they are going too loose anyway because of the ticket.. This will probably make your insurance go up but still should be the cheapest process too go. You can fight it but I think you will lose. Did he own up stopping at a green light when you got cited? Actually, it doesn't matter since you are still required to own control of your vehicle at all times.
you thought they hit you and you falled them to attain their plates to file a hit and run. sounds like this person have road rage and if your car was worn out by his, then you could probably win it. but still, you should've paid more attention to the road. i wouldn't be suprised if you had to atleast salary the ticket. Hold on. Forget about all the stuff about the carwash etc. What happen is he stops at a RED light, as he is legally required to do, and you rear finished him? I'm sorry, but in my books that's a clear case of driving without due strictness and attention (that's the terminology here, different where you are obviously).

You are required to have full control of your vehicle at ALL times. Even if he stopped contained by the middle of the road for no reason, you're still supposed to have enough control to stop. And to try and punch-up it in court, a case where the stop be at a light, the judge will laugh you out of court. If he hadn't stopped, what be your next plan, to run the red light?

What was his 'senseless act', stopping?

If you've get lots of time on your hands, and money for court costs, go ahead and fight it contained by court, but i think you're wasting your time.
Sure. You're entitled to appear within court to answer the charge. The judge may very well drop off or eliminate the cost for you. And if the arresting officer doesn't appear to testify (happens a lot), the case will be dismissed. You have little to lose except the time to sit within court.
