About Weed Being illegal!!!Who agrees??
I think it should not be illegal anywhere. ITS A FRICKIN PLANT!!! It is something of nature so if you get caught with it you get into trouble for having a PLANT with you. What if someone threw some marijuana seeds on your lawn and it really grew big and cops drove by?? That would be the best scam ever lol. But seriusly who are they(goverment) to say you cant have a plant?

It is scientifically proven to be harmful. In addition, it is a gateway drug.

Theres alot of good arguments for the legalization of marijuana. I'm only going to focus on marijuana vs alcohol. Alcohol is legal and arguably more intoxicating and more dangerous that marijuana. Why is it so? One big factor is that alcohol is a large source of state and federal revenue, the taxes you spend on a six pack help fund this country, and we all know how much easier it is to grow your own than to brew a keg of beer. Second, you cant measure how 'stoned' someone is, theres no breatholizer for marijuana, so if someone gets pulled over and the cop can smell it, but you dont look high at all, how can he make a judgement call that you shouldnt be driving. Last, is the fact that alcohol is simply a cornerstone of american culture. Catholics use it in religious ceremonies (I know rastafarian culture uses marijuana too, but thats a minority of the population) Its known to be used at ball games, weddings, parties, etc. and its socially accepted, you do have to admit that there is a public stigma against the drug, and maybe that stigma might slowly change, but its not going to happen in any of our lifetimes.
They'll make it legal as soon as the goverment knows how to put taxes on it! Trust me i know! They cant control it right now it's like alcohol it use to be illegal cause people would make it now its not!
Cyanide is a FRICKIN chemical compound that also occurs in nature. Cyanide smells like almonds (really...try it). What could be bad about that? I think you'll find that it's 'something of nature' is a pretty hollow excuse for claiming that something is safe for human consumption.

Personally, I hate weed. I don't like the high, the taste, the smell, and especially hate what it does to people. However, it should be legal. It harms no one beyond the person using it (unless they drive...different matter though) and is only illegal due to outdated laws and corporate manipulations.
you are so naive. this isn't your average everyday plant and you know it. people smoke this plant and it impairs their thinking. how dumb of you to want to legalized it! Okay now let me ask you this, do you smoke pot? I bet you do. that is why you want to make it legal because you only see one side of it! the government makes laws or rules to keep us safe and legalizing marijuana would not be one of them. The government is us. The cultivation and use of pot does no injury to anyone. Nevertheless, voters elect office holders that oppose marijuana.
I happen to believe that pot can screw some people up. But so can alcohol, or gambling, etc. I would do everything reasonably possible to discourage use by minors, who are not yet in a position to choose wisely all the time.
As far as any problems that could be caused by pot, its legalization and taxation could pay for whatever remedies would be appropriate.

look into the history of marijuana and you'll see the prohibition of it came from racist seeds against native mexicans and indians. plus, have you ever known the government to stand by and let people do something good for themselves? check out legalize marijuana sites; I've signed many petitions and yes, we are probably a long way off, but every little bit helps.

That plant causes people to do stupid things and hurt other people. Many things are just plants but can be turned into some wacko weed but when people use them in a way that makes them nutty and they end up hurting or killing others, it needs to be outlawed.

There are natural things in this world that are dangerous. How about poppies? Weed is among them too. It is addictive. Don't laugh. It IS addictive. If you do not believe it visit some detox and rehab centers. Alcohol is addictive too. But, 2 wrongs does not make a right. Do yourself a favor and deal with life as it comes to you, rather than in an altered state of consciousness.
It shouldn't be illegal. the only reason it is illegal, is because a major paper magnate (William Randolph Hearst) didn't want the competition from hemp paper, so he published bogus stories about it.
And for those of you who whine about it being 'mind-altering' or 'harmful', BS. All it does is calm you down. Now, alcohol, That impairs your judgment, but i bet you don't want to ban that. Cigarettes are exponentially more harmful than mary jane, but I'll bet you're not for banning those.
Yes, it's a plant. But that's not why it shouldn't be illegal. Whether it f**ks you up or not, the pot laws pull down the judicial and penal systems, cost billions, and make criminals out of people who would otherwise be all right. Cocaine is also somewhat 'natural', but not the same.

Mustagme. the only way it is a gateway drug...is if you let it be...ive been smokin since i was 13 and I have never tried anything else...because I dont want to... There are no studies that prove that weed is bad for you.. or that it causes cancer or anything. drinking is far worse than smoking pot
All this crap about you people saying that its mind altering. and its dangerous..BS.. I have never in my entire life heard of anyone smoking pot..that wasnt laced with anything... doing something dangerous. all it does is calm you down and relaxes you.
