Are all speeding tickets infractions, or are some misdemeanors?
If it varies by state, I'm talking about Nevada. And I'm talking about 10mph or less over the posted speed limit.
Ask the judge hearing the case...they would know local and state laws better than anybody here would.

If it's just a simple speeding ticket for 10 mph over, it's definitely an infraction. If anything else was involved (drinking, drugs, etc.) then that may make it a misdemeanor. Also, if someone was hurt then that might make it a misdemeanor or felony.
