Do you think there should be more gun control?

Personaly i think not. Criminals will always beable to find guns no matter what is done. If i was attacked by someone with a gun i would want to be able to defend my self. Think if even 1 of those kids in VA had a gun they could have shot the killer before he killed more people. what are your thoughts?
Armed citizens is one of the biggest deterrents of crime! Yes, you are 100% right - no matter what the laws are, if someone wants to obtain a firearm illegally, there are always ways to get it. Stricter laws only punish the law-abiding citizens.

Those shooting victims in VA probably would not have been able to stop all of the deaths/injuries, but it would have been significantly reduced. At a minimum, how about at least allowing the teachers to carry firearms?

Banning guns from Americans hasn't helped anybody. The bad guys are going to get their hands on guns one way or the other. They don't care about laws. So what kind of situation does that put the law abiding citizens in? They don't have the adequate means of protecting themselves from the guys with guns.

In Texas one guy tried to rob a convenience store with a firearm. Immediately, 4 people pulled their guns on him. How far do you think he got? Without the means of protecting ourselves, the bad guys don't have anything to fear, except for the police, of course, IF they get there in time.

Hmm....I guess we could say that more jet liners = more 9/11's. So, now all we have to do is ban box-cutters and jet liners and all our problems will be solved! (*cough cough*)

It's not about gun just about gun control. Guns can be obtained legally by citizens who have no records. It the one that do have criminal records and can only get guns illegally. those are the one I worry about. I'm Sure the gunman in VA had an illegal gun or stole it. Personally, I am terrified of guns, I don't even like seeing my grandsons play with toy guns. It's an individual thing. I certainly would not condemn anyone who purchases a gun legally for protection, especially if you live in a remote area. This is one of those questions where there is no black and white, It's a big gray area and I don't feel guns on the whole will ever be banned.
