Any surefire way to obtain proof of divorce ?


I have tried a couple websites to see if a person really did obtain a divorce and enjoy basically wasted money as the sites told me nothing more than a phone number etc. Has anyone ever found one that really works? Asking is not an remedy as I no longer trust this person. This is more for my own peace of mind now that it's over. Please no insults/judgments. My heart aches ample and even writing this hurts.

If you know the State and county that the Divorce took place in You can contact the Dept of Vital Statisticsin the state or county and ask for a copy of the Divorce Decree. Tell afterwards you need to make sure your boyfriend was divorced properly.

If you no longer trust the person, documentation of whether or not the person was divorced is beside the point. You should not be around this person. Of what possible interest could there be in knowing for sure whether the person is divorced? If you have married this person, you should divorce. Whether or not you have been married, make sure that any children are included in the divorce sensitivity to assure they have rights to support and inheritance. If you have not married this person and own no children with this person, turn and walk away. Keep walking and inaugurate healing.
