What would you do about a neighbor who always slams his door when he enters and exits the building?

This guy slams his front door and the main entry (secured foyer) every time he enters and exits our building. We have left notes more than once politely asking everyone to be aware of it. He leaves rude comments that he thinks are funny on our notes and continues the slamming. We have lived here 3 years, he moved in last summer. What would you do?
Leave feces with your future notes. Escalate the fecal war until he submits.

You can make a complaint to the landlord and have the landlord approach him. If not, instead of leaving a note, someone need to go in person to pay him a visit. Carry an apple pie or some kind of treat. I hated when people left notes too. As a matter of fact, it upset me. Two or 3 of you just need to pay him a visit and talk to him nicely. Good luck.

You say you live in a building, is there an owner to the building? I would go to someone above the other tenants, but more of the owner of the building and/or landlord. If you have been a good tenant for so many years and he just moved in, they are much more likely to listen to you and not him. They should talk to him and let him know he is disturbing the peace of the other tenants and if he continues, he will need to move.

complain to the landlord ; this guy is a real jerk and it is best not to anger that type or he will probably do other things to annoy you
How about lubricating the handles bout the exact time he arrives with some stinky smelly funk so that he will get the idea that it's getting too annoying to the point that one will go to such extremes?
