What laws are clearly unconstitutional, yet are not struck down by the SCOTUS because of political reasons?
I mean they don't allow every case to be heard... I'm not maxim that they'll make the wrong decisions, but that they'll just deny to hear some cases because they stir the pot.
Best Answer:
SCOTUS determines what is and isn't unconstitutional, so the premise of your request for information is logically invalid.
Citizens owning AK-47s.
Since SCOTUS is who determines if laws are unconstitutional or not, the answer would be none. Their ruling may differ from your opinion, but your opinion doesn't business if it gets to SCOTUS. They are not suppose to be a political branch of government, so they can rule on their interpretation of the laws and the Constitution short having to worry about keeping their position. *EDIT* - They don't refuse to hear a case because of politic reasons. They review the lower courts rulings, to determine if at hand is any merit to it and if there is any conflict in the lower courts that need to be resolved.
