Are you for Stem Cell Research?
I know i am not. Why can't we let go the natural course of outlook, and let natural selection do its duty in letting the human body develop naturally. After all, wasn't that road how human beings became the strongest and smartest of the food chain?. Also what about the potential for creating a black bazaar for organs. What about the potential of creating human beings, out of stem cells.? That is not very untaught at all, aslo the potential for the creation of mutations that could potentially hurt us (this is not Sci-fi, it is very possible if DNA can be played around with.) I know i am not, what going on for you? It is one thing to be for medicines and other for the artificial creation of organs. Its not the same point.! Think about it. Penicilin is attributed to the growth of a mold, not human organs!. Who said anything about using babies and complete organs for the production of organs? PLEASE DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH!. Also antibiotics are all MEDICINES!, beside the exception of some medicines like Penicilin, many of them are merely substances that either inhibit the growth of bacteria, and fight virus. You are comparing two different things. Also the attribution of natura selection doesn't have to do anything with medicine. they help the human body recover from illness, intuitive selection goes hand within hand with the evolution of medicine. Organs made from stemm cell research are basically a replacement of organs, they do not help the human body adjust to its environment.
Best Answer:
No. Murdering babies and using their brains in experiments is sick. But libs should be free to donate their own brains for stem cell research.
I am, but then I care give or take a few people. I guess that is why I am not a republican.
Yes, I am.
So are you against penicillin as ably?
Yes. Adult stem cell research has found numerous treatments for previously untreatable diseases. And if we can duplicate human organs in order so let go lives, I do not have a problem with that. An organ is not a human being. I support ethical science. I do not, however, support have my tax money taken to support the deliberate destruction of human embryos for the sole purpose of scientific research.
Sure, why not? Adult stem cells have showed promise. I don't support government funding though, it's an attractive investment and their is no shortage of private investors to fund it. It is possible that dismal mutations could occur, that's why research is very time consuming, they test these things on animals first.
one example is multiple sclerorsis, which is caused by the destruction of nerves in the brain from deviant growth called plaquing. One potential is that stem cells will repair or regenerate that nerve sheathing. Would you christen that illness or natural selection (or focus it is "replacing" an organ?) Would you define possible repair as medicine? The reality is that you don't live within a wheelchair, or face the concept of possibly becoming such a vegetable that you cannot go from the bed TO that wheelchair. Stem cell research very feasible will lead to cure for such diseases. The "natural course" of nature would allow cancer, heart washout and many other diseases. Talk to a person affected by one of those diseases, up to that time you make the decision that they should be denied treatment that could cure their disease. Or.. maybe even prevent a child from getting that disease surrounded by the future.
. well because I am only 14 I don't really understand what stem cell research is, however what i do know around it i think is that it isn't totally good or bad....it depends on the party and their point of view
Yes, I am all for it. Abortion's legalized and going nowhere, so something good might as well come out of that.
I am for it I mean who says that pure always means good, for example, tsunami, that be natural but was far from good. Cotton perchance natural, but unless it is organic and unbleached, then buying synhtetic textile is much better for the environment. And if you believe in natural selection to that point, consequently you think we should just die of diseases like cancer which can be cured currently??? If stem cell research can be used to save lives and prevent disease and death then I instinctively am for it, however I can of course see your point with the Black market, however surely it would be better to hold organs sold that have been created, not from a poor soul who has giving away their organs the individual chance left for survival???
Yes as long as it is inside the private sector. I might remind people that the private sector has had stem cell research going on for years in a minute. Our "government" does not need to become involved with such an issue, with the exception of possibly enacting laws or oversight so as the "black market" and such are not involved with the outcome making process.
By the way, the apology you reached the age you are now is because you had be vaccinated against many diseases, that would have efficiently killed you if you lived , say, 100 ago. I guess you also do not take antibiotics or antivirals when you hold got cold and flue and just wait for the quality to take its course? Don't be ridiculous! You just take too frequent things for granted nowadays. P.S. You need a blastocyst to extract stem cells (an rash stage embryo consisting of 50-150 cells), you don't need a whole baby or an organ. They could also be extracted from the individual in need of treatment with his OWN stem cell. In fact, no other will do in this case. God, populace! Do some research!
yes I am
