Do you know what 'The Fertile Crescent' is, regarding the Arab world?

...and what world politics have to do with it, including our US politics?
Look up the tigris and euphraties rivers. Look in the bible as well. It's supposed to be the home between those two rivers. The Garden of Eden is supposed to be located somewhere near or in there. Dizzy is right, "The fertile crescent" is ancient Mesopotamia - which is "geographical speaking" basically where Iraq happens to be now.
In that region the fighting over the fertile crescent 3000 years ago does have an impact on current societies and hence impacts current politics. The Arab mind and display is far different than the western one.

It is super complicated though and can not be summed up in Answers. It requires a knowledge of history, cultures, religions and current politics.

To sum it up..... the Mideast is still pissed about anything happened in the past 2000 years. It is more approaching a tribal thing. Much has to do with the Mideast going from traveller to super rich (oil) in a very short time. The societies did not get a arbitrary to develop. There were Islamic empires that were certainly far ahead of the western world in all ways. But they crumbled and got stuck within a 12th century way of thinking.

The western mind thinks differently...... that happened so let move on and take care of the in a minute.

Simple version.
The area surrounded by and around the Tigris & Euphraties rivers. The fertile crescent refers to the origins of great civilizations that emerged from these areas. We're talking acint times here, not sure what US politics has to do near it.
Ander,F is right,the lands between Degla&Elfourat rivers.
