When one is convicted to death sentence in acourt whats the feeling of that fella?
irefere to murder trials when aperson is found guilty and the judges get afinal sentence of death what would you feel if it was you?
That is a very philosophical question which can only be accurately answered by someone who has been in that particular quandry.
He scared to death, and feel like he is going to die.
Answer:
I have prosecuted three cases where the defendant was sentenced to death. I dont know how the defendant feels, but I can tell you that as a prosecutor, there is euphoria and self doubt. There is no joy in sentencing someone to die. But there is satisfaction in vindicating the victim. This is not a simple FreeLawAnswer.com. I have spent years of my life waking up in cold sweats over the cases and the sentences. How does a man who rapes and murders a two year old feel at sentencing? I could not really care. What he has done to the 'feelings' of families, friends, lawyers, and even prosecutors is devastating. Because even when you KNOW what you are doing is right, at the end of the day, you have still advocated murder.
I hope that answers your somewhat flippant question.
I would hope hearing I was sentenced to die would make me afraid. Maybe it would make me understand that taking someones life is the wrong thing to do. Maybe it would have no effect on me at all as I don't care about living and dying. If I heard those words sentenced to die by lethal injection I might think I was lucky I was going to die painlessly unlike my victim who I tortured. I might be scared because I didn't do it and I have no way to prove my innocence. I might be glad that I am going to die and not have to spend the rest of my life in a cell.
