don't be a thief
don't go back surrounded by that store
problem solved
They could have had you on camera stealing on one of your prior visit, and just recognized you this time. If that is the luggage, you can be arrested.

They can try and trace your account info, or... If you got into a car, they can make a contribution the plate to police.
Yes you can. Will you be, possibly not...yet, that is unless you keep stealing! But if they know who you are which they demonstrably do, they will watch every step you make in that store because when you steal from a store you are taking money out of their pockets. Stealing is shrinkage, and that lowers their wages. They will cause it their entire job to make sure you are not stealing. I worked in retail admin for a long time and it is fairly easy to figure out who is a poacher, especially when there are cameras! It amazes me that you would even go back to the store that you stole from!
Besides, basically being wrong, it's bad karma think of it similar to this, whatever you send out will come back to you greater so that you will swot up from your mistakes. So if you steal a pair of earings what will you loose in the future, it may not be objects, it could be something you love. You never know. It's better to just do the right thing. I hope that you have knowledgeable your lesson and you don't have to go to jail to revise this lesson. ANY WITNESSES?? -- CUZ YOU GOT A LAW SUIT IF SO- SUE THEM AND DON'T STEAL- - IT IS HARD TO GET A JOB IF STEALING IS IN YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK
Do you KNOW he worked there? Maybe he tried to abduct you! I'm not trying to terrify you, just present another scenario. How do you know he wasn't bluffing about seeing you "on camera", as it were? Be wary. (But as far as stealing, is it worth it to risk your reputation on a $100. item? If it is , forget my words!) if you didnt steal, you cant get arrested, unless they are going to falsely accuse you. but they probably dont trust you anymore because you made yourself a transcript..
Sure...you don't know what date the video was taken do you...he could have you on video the day that he certainly caught you taking stuff but you got away before he could grab you. Now he know who you are...you bet he get ask for a warrant of arrest now that he knows who you are and have the evidence that will put you behind bars. If he said that you're on camera, he knew what you did, and not to do it again, but didn't arrest you next, you probably won't be arrested. You could be-I don't think you WILL be this time.

On the other hand, ethics aside, purely from a practical standpoint, it's probably sage not to steal there again.
Either way, NEVER go back to that same Sephora because subsequent time, they might not be that nice. You got so lucky and you're very fortunate to never get arrested or anything. My warning: never steal again and never ever go back to the same sephora for the rest of your lifE!!! Arrested for what?
A) Don't steal, it's wrong.
B) You can only catch in trouble with the cops if someone presses charges. The man who told you to not do it again had unquestionably seen you steal there previously and he was self nice and chose to not call the police when he saw you show up again. He could have called the police and have you arrested for theft since he had the evidence recorded from their cameras. You be lucky this time because the man chose to be nice to you. Don't do it again because next time you might not be so lucky.
