Forensic testing?
when items of clothing are taken from a suspects home as police evidence, what is the chance of it getting contaminated before forensics run their tests, and how long for the results.
the items are sealed in forensic bags. They will not get contaminated. Different tests take different lengths of time to conduct. I am a crime solicitor
When evidence is taken from a crime scene, the forensics team/officer should be well-practiced in collecting evidence without contaminating it. Test results depend on the kind of test.
Answer:
It depends on the resources of the particular police department. Unfortunately, some police departments do not have the resources onsite.
