Assaulted by 4 people found guilty of affray.?


Hi myself and my partner were assaulted last April 2008 by 4 people one is beneath 16. This went to Leicester Crown Court this June they were being charged next to ABH. Our barrister came back to us told us they would plead guilty to affray which we accepted. My partner have been left with a serious shoulder injury and we are both person treated for post traumatic stress and depression. It got so bad we had to move home as they lived divergent my flat. They are all due to be sentenced at the end of this month does any one have any thinking what there sentence will be? And if we will be entitled to any form of compensation from them? We don't think any of them work we are unsure. Any advice or links anyone can tender would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

They can receive sentences from anywhere from 0 to 3 years plus fines. Once, they are sentenced, file suit against them. Even if they don't have any assets immediately, you can attach their future earnings.

my friend was involved in a incident (victim) and the people that did it be charged with affray which my friend was told was really serious. Yes you can put a claim in against the command authorities, but don't think you can claim against the attackers. Ask your solicitor. He'll tell you. I'm surprised he hasn't asked you about putting a claim within already.
