progress on legalizing marijuana?
whats to come in the future regarding marijuana?{{{only cultured factual knowledge please}}.------united states---- please no haters. **i enjoy maryjane and your refusal comments wont make me change my mind about it!** **PROVEN MARIJUANA IS A MUCH MORE SAFE INTOXICANT THAN ALCOHOL!!!** **marijuana isnt a gateway drug. the total admission money way is the scummy dealers who offer a "foreign high" if it was legal there would be no pot dealer to offer any other drugs.** obviously people cant read, making America not simply bankrupt and corrupt, but illiterate too!! my point SHILO..... is that I and others would rather have stoners than drunks roaming around... thats in recent times it stoners dont roam around they relax. making stoners much more safe than drunks!....... oh, christ i wanted answers not a debate!!!!!!!!!!! thanks bamf1! also i regard the best think we will get is decriminalization which means you can get up to about 3 grams and the police wont do much to you.... like in cali or denver

"PROVEN MARIJUANA IS A MUCH MORE SAFE INTOXICANT THAN ALCOHOL!" How is the reality that something harmful is already legal make it correct to normalize something else less harmful? Seems to me your argument is just a purpose to make alcohol illegal.
Not going to evolve. Sorry. Not a judgment, just an observation.
I own seen some progress, but for the most part it is still a political hot potato. Most politicians (including Obama) won't even discuss it. You are right, though - it makes definitely no sense that pot is illegal while alcohol and tobacco (both of which are MORE harmful and MORE addictive) are legal. Legalization would: - Create thousands of job - Deal a massive blow to criminal networks, which would suddenly be without a HUGE source of income - Provide an enormous windfall for the government, which would bring within billions in taxes (ending Prohibition played a big part in getting the U.S. out of the Great Depression) - Allow police, courts and prisons to focus their resources on DANGEROUS criminals, to some extent than potheads Contact your representatives - if they hear from enough of us, they'll HAVE to start taking this issue seriously. As Gandhi once said, “first they ignore you, then they snigger at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Answer:
there's a possibility, but unlikely.... i think the most we could find is the legalization of medical marijuana...but thats a state decision, so pray you dont live in a conservative state like i do.
