How much should the consultation fee be?

A law firm offered me a 30 to 45 mins first divorce consultation for 100$. I never had to deal next to lawyers before, so I don't know if that's much or normal. I hear there are free consultations. Is it worth to spend money on the first consultation? I'm worried that they will only tell me things I already know since I've be doing research for a few months now.
I don't know where you live, but in Arkansas near are tons of free consultations offered. I wouldn't pay for a first consultation with any attorney because I may not think that he would be the one to capture the job done, and then I would have to clear another attorney for another consultation. I am in the middle of a lawsuit as we speak, and my first visit with my attorney be free.
Call your local Lawyer's Referral and get your first call in a lot cheaper. Mine lasted about 30 minutes and be free. After that $3000.00 retainer deducted at $300.00 per hour
You won't get better advice by paying for it, you'll singular get better advice by consulting a better attorney. The initial consultation should be free, but it might not be 30 minutes. If you've been doing research you shouldn't want that much time to decide whether this lawyer is for you.
