is it illegal for a teen (me) to write in another teens car in washington if they are not 18 yet?

is it illegal for my friends in 10th or 11 grade who own a license to give me rides even to very close places if they are not 18 yet but are a dutiful driver this is for the state of washington Nothing bad happened I just didn't ask my parents first but I know the soul from 10th grade last year who gave me a ride this year to close places with the sole purpose 4 or 5 blocks away like taco del mar and whole foods and if I didn't know them at all even if they be a student I would not have done it Students give rides to a lot of those I wanted to do it also but I was careful next to who it was there are people I know but may not touch safe driving with cause of how I be treated last year by them maybe my parents don't think I can detail if it's safe I should tell them places only 4 or 5 blocks away near someone I know and nothing illegal happened So I don't see how it's banned. I meant to say ride you know

You have to follow the restrictions on your license. If it say no passengers, it does not matter how far it is, or how good of a driver they are. If caught, the driver get the ticket, not the passenger.

oh cool im from tacoma WA, Yea the driver will get a ticket, but if he re-offends he might have to linger untill he turns 18 to get his license.
