Do you think the second amendment (right to bare arms) should be changed? Virginia Tech?

I myself come from Europe but i am a US citizen. In Virginia Tech shooting the 23 year old asian kid bought the guns legally and killed 32 people. How can Amercica be so iresponsible and let anyone buy a gun, its too easy to obtain a gun permit in this country.....but then you can't buy a drink till your 21...go figure
Alcohol kills a hecka of alot more people than guns!! And many gun deaths are alcohol related.
The problem in America is:
1. Drug and alcohol abuse
2. Hedonistic culture fostered by Hollywood.
Hollywood films make violence and crime attractive to the morons of society. If they prevented Hollywood from glamorizing crime and mass-murder much of these psychopaths would have no inspiration.
yes you cant drink until youre 21..but drinking kills more people than private firearms
Its a catch 22. If you make it harder to get guns for people who only want protection, then they will not have them. But the criminals will buy them off the black market and still be armed. So what do you do?I dont think its really the availability to get guns, but the mind set of the person who has them.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people

To bad more guns weren't on campus, someone could have shot the gunman earlier.
you cannot buy a hand gun until 21 either. If we outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns. I personally like to be able to shoot back.
I KNOW your not telling me Crooks don't use guns in Europe? It is sad that this crazy person did this, really sad and i feel bad for all the people killed, however if anyone of those other people who also can get a gun had one then it could have been stopped far earlier. A person can buy a brand new car legally and purposely plow threw a kindergarten play ground and kill that many people , but would you blame the car? or say it's to easy to get a car?
I am with Chumpcha. And thanks for mentioning the drinking thing. Just because a teen isn't allowed to drink until they are 21, does that mean that they wont't? NO WAY!!! So, if a law were made that peple coudn't own a gun following what ever law? NO!! If a physco wants gun, they will find a gun.

Answer:
VT was a tragedy and I understand your question it is a fair one. But this tragedy will be used for political purposes. This guy was ready to die, he had nothing to live for, and wanted to inflict as much pain as he could before he died. He may have obtained the weapons legally, but he murdered. Do you think a law banning private ownership of firearms will deter someone with this mindset? Does it stop meth, coke, or other illicit drug users for breaking the law? Do you think smuggling guns is any easier to prevent than smuggling drugs?

I do not, so how cliche it is, you simply rely more and more on the government to protect us. Which I myself, do not wish to do. Futhermore the 2nd amendment gives each individual the ability to resist tyranny. Europe has effectively unarmed their populations, creating an atmosphere that allows for wholesale slaughter in Kosovo, the Holocaust, and gave the Hungarians little chance to stand up against Soviet occupation. One exception however it Switzerland where almost each adualt male is in the militia and has an assualt rifle in their house. They do not seem to have major issues with gun violence.

Lastly, why do you say he legally obtained his pistols? Did you read this, or assume this? From what I read the serial numbers had been removed, not a sign of a legal purchase.

My 2 cents.
