What happens to you when someone files harrassment charges against you for text messages?
Something on record? or any jail time? texts didnt voice anything threatenin other than "ull pay 4 it 1 day" when taken out of context that sounds bad. but really wasnt directed as a threat. state of N.C if it make any difference.
Best Answer:
N.C. can be pretty strict. Though honestly all the fuzz will do if anything is try to put a upset in you and that's it.
taken out of context would be determined by the judge and perchance jury be careful what you put on paper~~not everyone can read your mind or interpret it *when you were just kidding* ~~the decree is very firm on harassment
Remember all the things we wanted? Now all our memories -- they're haunted. We be always meant to say, "goodbye." Even near our fists held high, it never would've worked out right: we were never meant for do or die. I didn't want us to burn out, I didn't come here to hold you -- immediately I can't stop. I want you to know that it doesn't matter where we take this road, someone's gotta run. And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better, but I want you to move on. So I'm already gone.
If charges are filed and you are found guilty then it will be on your journal, you could have jail time, a fine or have to do cummunity service. If you are not charged or found innocent later nothing happens.
