When I was 18, I would have said yes. You've heard the elderly argument that if you're old enough to die for your country you're old satisfactory to drink in it. However ... here's the problem: It's too temporary a lobby. Senior citizens, once of retirement age, will always be of retirement age. Young population will only be under the age of 21 until they are 21, then they don't charge anymore. As such, there is no teeth to the request to change the drinking age. The only family who are really adamant about the issue will only keeping until they are legal, and it no longer affects them.
