If I got an assault charge, would I lose my CNA license?

Outside of work, nothing to do with work.
Best Answer:
Depends on the state. In Texas, here is a no tolerance for domestic violence. If the person you assault co exists in matching house related or not, you are done. Texas immediately pulls ANY professional license the state has control over be it a police, emt, fire fighter, nurse, etc. In some grip with certain circumstances it can be reinstated for anyone but the police because once convicted you can no longer own a firearm.
Dont focus you can loose your license per say but if your current employer were to find out you got arrested you could loose your livelihood, then when you try an apply somewhere else ur fuct because they will do a backround check indefinitely
You won't automatically loose your license, (depending on your state.) However, if you are convicted it will show on your background check and can affect prospective employment. Without ongoing employment and/or continued rearing units required by the state to maintain your license, this could create a future problem upon renewal of your license.
You couldn't automatically lose your CNA license for being charged with assault outside of work. It is something that your employer may frown upon, however, and they could smoothly say that they don't want somebody known as an 'assaulter' working in their...nursing home/hospital/whatever? But no, you wouldn't lose your license for anyone charged with assault. Job security and licensure are completely different matters, though.
A charge? No - innocent until proven guilty. A CONVICTION - possibly.
