Should we bail out California?
I do no believe we should subsidize poor managment if it allows them to continue down the same ineffective path. Liberal states are agreed for hurting for money because they take from the working people and give to the unproductive relatives. This state has given billions for socialist programs. A girl in my class what braggin that her mother gets rewarded from the Govt. just for taking care of her own grandchild. Women run off their husbands because Uncle Sam will subsidize their healthcare and living. This state is a wreck and they want to interrupt their values of entitlement upon the rest of the country. Obama plans on sending billions to this state soon to bail them out. 90 some percent of the people said NO bail outs and Obama and McCain did not listen to us. Should we be angry? I lived in California for 4 months. Worst place to live in the US. People are inefficient, no one has any respect for one another, and it feels similar to your living in another country.
As a Californian, PLEASE DON'T. It's better in the long run, if we learn to live within our process. I say...tough love. Let our socialist legislature and liberal governor shine the light of truth on the Democrat party countrywide:: this is America's future if we continue. California taxes and taxes her citizens at the highest rate within the nation, but still not enough for our legislative leaders.
What the hell are you conversation about? No one has proposed bailing out California, or any other state. Get a life.
Yes, they are part of America too.
Under strict conditions, I think that California should be bailed out. I understand how you feel but we are dealing beside people and not just money. I think you should examine how Sweden resolved its monetary difficulties rear legs in the 90's. They bailed out big business but they got TONS of collateral. And when things were finally over, they be able to sell these assets and the government made a profit on the accord. If little old Sweden can do it, why can't the greatest country in the world do it too? Besides, it looks like other states are teeter too...so why don't we "practice" on California first? If things go sour, we can always give them rear to Mexico.
NO! The place has taxed people until they just have any money left and they provide services to illegal aliens that American citizens can't capture. The government in California is crazy and bailing them out would only see them to continue in their insanity. If the feds bail them out they will be as crazy as the government within California. (Which is something I've been saying for a long time--so it doesn't look good for the average US citizen any.)
absolutely not. and I live in California and I'll probably feel some of the effects, but honestly, the programs and spending are so epidemic. Take their state pension programs for example - most of them get 90 PERCENT! Can you imagine that citizens will get 90 percent of their salary for the rest of their lives? Huh? That's like unbeaten the lottery.
Never fear the governator will take care of everything!
No. It go to show you what happens when you have cradle to grave entitlements. More proof, visit a V.A. hospital or an Indian reservation.
no!!!
Aww...Hell no! Let's run them dry so they can legalize marijuana so they can rates it. Whooo Hoo!
