Should white people be protected under the same discrimination laws as everybody else?


Why can't whites be considered a minority because they're white?? (where I live, the population is only made up of about 10% whites, and we still aren't considered a minority). Why can't whites be proud of their heritage just approaching other races without being considered racist?? Why can every other see have racial scholarships, but if it be a white-only scholarship, it would be racist?? Why is it called discrimination when it's against an "ethnic group" but REVERSE nouns when it's against whites?? I have african-american and hispanic best friends, and my uncle is african-american, so I will be PISSED if somebody calls me a racist. I simply want the same protection and rights as everybody else. And yah, white ppl can be discriminated against too. It happen to me a lot. Any opinions?? I will respect them even if they differ from mine <33 MINORITY: 1. I agree with you, but anything that is seen to empower white citizens, men or straight people is considered rascist, sexist or anti-gay. Society is fucked up.

I agree. ANd nowadays, within is something called reverse racism. I hate that. Hispanics have Cinco de mayo, blacks hold black history month. What about white history month you know? I'm not really racist, I just see how unjust it adjectives is. I consider March white history month to me, cuz I'm irish. lol No, seriously, next march. I forgot this year, but I'm so starting white history month. see if it catches on. Good luck shifting the way black people think. Jeeze, overpower and enslave their ancestors hundreds of years ago, and they think they are entitled to special treatment for all eternity. I don't take it. Same with Indians. They get scolarships. WTF!?!?! Where's my scholarship for what they did to the irish imigrants?
EDIT: I wasn't arguing with you over the definition of "minority." Discrimination is the issue here. In South Africa, the minority group were the whites and they ruled over black South Africans near an oppressive iron fist. Other factors like socioeconomic status can't be disregarded... Nobody says whites can't be discriminated against. But it would have to be in a situation where on earth blacks have superior money and power, not just superior numbers. That's a rare condition. Also, intelligent race of all races think that see pride is ignorant regardless of what race one is proud of. They let minorities sour the hook for it because they're compensating for past discrimination. But really NOBODY should celebrate their see. Celebrate what you've done. Don't take credit for what your ancestors were.

Last year a white girl was whitewashed up by a group a black girls, chanting racist slogans while they did it. No media outlet in the US considered necessary to touch this. In the end it comes down to yourself, sure you can complain and many racist acts contained by the US are perpetuated by people using the same arguments that you hold. But if you don't want to be discriminated against, then it is up to you to not discriminate, to be the person that you want others to be. Getting organised is difficult, because often it is white supremists who run these organisations. But if individuals, of all races, can work together you can end the bigatory contained by your area.
Honey you enjoy all the rights and the power. Minorities are trying to have the same rights and power as you own. You may live somewhere you are the minority... In the larger scheme of America you are still apart of the ruling majority.For future reference you don't want to list all the minorities that you know...It doesn't make you any more down surrounded by the brown skin club and your uncle being black has nothing to do beside you. It was your aunt's choice to marry him not yours. You don't have to fight as tricky as I or any other minority in this country to get what you want and everytime you have ever open your mouth in a classroom I am sure no one was thinking of you as the token representation for you see. I take it you live in USA. I hear what you're motto, as a matter of fact whites in USA are currently the minority group. In my view there shouldn't be ANY discrimination at all, because after these laws wouldn't be necessary. In South Africa we had Apartheid and incredibly little racism, now we have a lot of racism (in respectively and every way) and very little apartheid.
Who says you can't enjoy white-only scholarships? You are more than welcome to start one if you want. No one is stopping you. As long as it's your own money, it would be completely legal. And the apology it is different is because the US (assuming you live in the US) has no history of discrimination against whites. Therefore, in that is no need for special laws to protect them. Just like in that is no need for laws to guarantee men the right to vote, but there are law to guarantee women the right to vote (but those laws could, in theory, be utilized by men) because historically here has been no discrimination against men contained by elections.
Of course EVERYBODY should be protected under those laws. Whites obtain discriminated on just like others. We are not all racist. I have a job at this place (I won't say any names) and every employee be Filipino except me. They hired me but I found out I was making less than the newer employees who have far less experience than me. They always made me feel close to an outsider. Discrimination is just ridiculous. People should be hired based on their experience and what they can do for an employer,not skin color. The place I work for now is predominantely black. We adjectives get along great,we all know our jobs and we work together as a squad. A couple of my co-workers did admit that when I was first hired they thought I was brought surrounded by to spy on them because I was the "white girl"..LOL we all joke give or take a few it now,we've been working together for years and years.

Yes, but liberals blame whites for adjectives the problems in the world. Democrats say all white males are cruel bigotted racist homophobes who deserve no protection. The current Supreme Court nominee says latinas can make better decisions than white males and that it is ok to go beyond over whites who did better on a promotion exam in order to promote blacks. Basicly they say whites are evil so it is ok to discriminate against them.
