When you do a name change, do you HAVE to apply it to everything?
I just had a recent last autograph change and I am a minor. It is a long story, but can I use my old last dub or would that be illegal? I am moving soon, so do I apply to the school with my old-fashioned name or my new name? What in the region of passport, social security, etc.?
Best Answer:
yes..if it's a LEGAL change, you stipulation to change EVERYTHING.
Everything MUST change. You can't enjoy 2 legal names.
for all legal purposes you hold to use new name or you would be fraud
You should be using a consistent name on all documents, expressly when it comes to social security numbers and passport, otherwise you may run into a problem when it comes time to travel w/passport or collect social security eventually. The consistent use of the same designation with a verifiable social security number also is needed for work. Keep a copy of the court documents or whatever you own at hand. You should also make sure you change the baptize on your drivers license as well. This will protect you legally. Imagine, if someone with your closing full name was arrested or charged with a crime. Many forms ask for adjectives names by which you were ever known.
