I am selling a laptop on ebay. The bidder has zero rating but joined in May 2007. Can he be trusted?
What are the chances that he is a scam, considering he signed up almost a year back? Will it be safe if I dispatch the item after he pays by paypal?
It will be safe to send the item once your PayPal account have been credited. And by that, I mean look on the actual PayPal website. Anyone can create an email from PayPal these days.
If your article hasn't been credited, then the email supposedly from PayPal is fake, sent by the street trader, who probably resides in Nigeria.
It is important that you don't conduct the sale outside of eBay lately to avoid fees or because the buyer said so. I, along with many other people, hold been scammed by them, so please be careful.
Once the paypal payment have been transferred to your account he has compensated and the computer belongs to him. If you don't send it you are in violation of the lingo of sale. Don't trust a check or a money order only paypal. you should be fine as long as you dont post it till the money clears surrounded by your paypal every one starts at zero maybe he not an ebay addict on the other hand
