Jury duty check?
How long after you serve for jury duty does it take for them to send the check? My last time was over a month ago and i never recieved it. Should I call to see where it is?
Call and ask! It might take 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the courthouse and how busy they are. But you need to call. I would definately phone call especially if your employer does not allow you too miss work for jury duty as this can add up too quite an expence.
I would call if I were you. They owe you the money! If you missed work especially! No harm within calling them up and leaning on them. I would imagine though it could take up to 8 weeks total time up to that time you saw the check though.
Yes, you should inquire. Mine hold always arrived within a week no matter which court it be.
Definitely call. I always used my checks to make up for the parking allowance to do the jury duty.
The actual time almost certainly vary by the court in question. The closest I have to compare is working at the polls for an see. It usually takes 2 or 3 weeks for me to receive that check. You can always call and ask. I probably would after a month.
David S: If the court is contained by the US, the employer is REQUIRED to give time off for jury duty. It is not required to be paid, but it must be granted. On the other paw, if the employer pays regular wages for the time spent on jury duty, they can require you to turn the jury pay over to them.
