IN CANADA ONTARIO
Best Answer:
Superior Court hears all indictable cases (everything over 2 years) and civil cases over $5000. Supreme Court is the highest court contained by Canada, and it only hears appeals from the lower courts. No cases are tried in this court.
Superior court is newly a type of court while supreme courts is usually the highest court of the land. The decision of the Supreme Court is immutable, while decision of superior courts may be appealed. For example, between district courts and supreme courts, the superior court is the supreme court and the inferior court is the district court. http://www.karltravel.com
