According to Christian Bible principles, we are to do unto others as we would want done unto us. According to others, "charity begins at home." What creates a better society is when we all chip in and oblige one another whether we know one another or not. For example, one day I just happened to be visit in New York city. When I arrived at my friend's Manhattan apartment, he pulled up the shade so we could have a look at the city far below. Just then, a vehicle slammed into a pedestrian who was crossing the street and then put his car within reverse and then squeeled away. The dead woman, blood gushing from her body, was consequently stepped over by many busy pedestrians as they hustled and bustled away. Do we really want to live in this kind of society. Personally, I be horrified and quiet disturbed to have witnessed such an event. Ask yourself, "How would I like to be treated right very soon if I were in this same situation?" That will guide your behavior appropriately if you have a conscience. The Apostles once asked Christ, "Am I my brother's curator?" Christ said, "Yes." However, we as a society have turned our backs on Christian values--for the most part. The consequences of that edict are apparent. Keep in mind that prior to Christian values being implement in society there were things resembling the Roman Gladiators, where masses would assemble in the colosium to monitor men kill each other for sport. When we throw out the Golden Rule, then the final consequence is this type of devaluation of human life.

Morally I believe we should care just about every human being, but limit yourself accordingly. For instance, the family unit down the street has no money and they are hungry. Would I help them.. Yes, as long as it wouldn't put my own family within dire consequences. But if I could bring a bag of groceries, I surely would, Then reccommend them to a place where they could get abet. I wouldn't buy them groceries every week, no. I WOULD offer to drive them if they had no car, to the nearest work center to look for work.
