If a Guardian et Litem is A volunteer Job why is the cost 750$?
We hired a guradin et Litem told it was a Volunteer from the courts , but the cost came out to be 750.00 To me this is not a volunteer job????
You are assuming that the $750 go into the pockets of the guardian ad litem. The money is being used to pay administrative fees and court costs associated near having the services of the guardian ad litem. The guardian ad litem is not delivery payment for the services so it is still a volunteer job.
There are legal costs involved near getting someone appointed a Guardian ad Litem. Ask for an accounting and find out exactly what it is you are paying for. Also, a Guardian ad Litem is usually appointed in nouns with an ongoing lawsuit, it's possible that these costs are part of that lawsuit, and not a fee that's going to the Guardian poster Litem.
