FBI and CIA?
This is a serious question and i would like serious in depth answers.
Ok im not on a plan to verbs the govornment or anything so i hope i dont get men in masks showing up at my door to assassinate me or trounce me for info.
Im wondering. Whats the difference between the FBI and the CIA?
Also. Which of the 2 is more powerful/has more authority?
Can the FBI/CIA overule or give orders to the FBI/CIA?
I really want to know WHO IS HIGHER UP?
For instance, 'the cop' being more powerful than 'the protection gaurd'.
The CIA is higher up
The FBI is a federal law enforcement agency that is portion of the Department of Justice. They investigate crimes.
The CIA is an intelligence organization and are limited to operations out side of the US.
Neither take orders from the other.
Honestly, if you wanted to get an in-depth answer on this, you should probably look elsewhere than " lawfreefaq.com" haha. However I do know a small bit of information on the F.B.I. .. Basically, the FBI's role in the US is to serve as the "Nations police force", they feel investigations such as corruption inside of the government, all the way to specific murder cases. The FBI have many, many different fields. The CIA's (central intelligence agency) ONLY position contained by our nation is actually to deal with national deposit matters going on OUTSIDE of the United States.
I honestly don't know that much about the CIA, so i do not want to mis-inform you, however to answer your question, NEITHER agency have authority nor jurisdiction over the other.
Hope this helps buddy.
