The Family & Medical Leave Act?

My spouse and I moved from Washington state to California and she missed a months worth of work due to the move. Does that month count as part of the 12 months? She works about 30 hours a week and if that month counts as part of the 12 months she probably would not come together the 1250 hours needed in a 12 month period to qualify for FMLA.
Best Answer:
A 12 month period system exactly that, 12 months. 30 hours a week means that she works 1560 in a 12 month period. Even if the month that be missed has five weeks (which every third month does), she would still have worked 1410 hrs. If her total for the 11 months that she did work equals less than 1250, next she would not qualify. The period is counted back from the time that leave be requested.
