How do online companies verify that someone is 18 or older?
Like tobacco companies, if the order is payed with a debit card how do the companies verify that the purchaser is of age?

Drivers License, State ID, passport or birth certificate.
The information on debit card but if you use your parents' debit card consequently who knows?
They may ask for the name on the card and it should be someone who's decriminalized. If you lie then your card will be declined. However, if adjectives they ask for is your number then you should be fine.
I tried to lie on this part earlier and my order was not able to be processed.
