Not necessarily, but there is a odds that he was. Other factors could have lead to him molesting your friend, such as family life, drugs, or something else.

I assume you mean if the perpetrator be also molested? Many times that is the case or it is what he was skilled inadvertently or otherwise. The choice to molest is just that though- a decision to do something that he knows is not okay or right. The possibility him anyone a victim though just shows how complex reality can be.
It isn't a certitude but highly likely. Statistics show that the majority of molesters, were themselves, molested as children.
