Can I sue an institution for dropping my courses while I'm in the hospital?

I was involved in an accident within 1998 where I was jumped by several men and stabbed contained by the chest three times, puncturing my lung. After two weeks in intensive care, I left the hospital and go back to school. All of my professors dropped my classes except one due to an extended absence. I explained to the control that there was no way I could enjoy been in contact with them as I be held up in a hospital bed, unconscience half the time. I don't think I can sue them for denying me, and my wallet, my credits for the courses I took, but can I gain credited for the courses since I was passing?
No, as technically you did not finish the courses.

But you can request they waive next semester's excise to retake the classes for the next semester, due to your circumstances
This was ten years ago. You are not going to get anything surrounded by or out of the courtroom. Regarding the credit for the courses, you need to look at the school's Guidelines, which should be with the registrar's office. If the state the college is in has a Board of Regents that governs the institutions of sophisticated learning (most do), you can also contact their central offices and request a copy of the rules/procedures/guidelines for such an incident.

Regarding the settlement for the couses, it MAY be possible. Again, you need to refer to the school's policy/rules. My guess is, however, that the school has some type of binding "contract" when you income which states that after a certain amount of time of being enrolled contained by said courses, you will not be eligible for a refund.
